Youth Mental Health Listening Tour

  • White Plains Library 100 Martine Avenue White Plains, NY, 10601 United States (map)

Governor Hochul supports young people's mental health and wants to do more. In March 2023, she announced a series of listening sessions to hear from the New York State youth themselves on their mental health and well-being. The listening tour will happen in person in five locations around New York State in April and May 2023, held in the evening from 6-8pm on a weekday.

We are asking you to join a group of young people and state leaders because we want to hear more about your experiences and your recommendations for Governor Hochul.

If you decide to register to participate in a listening session:

- We will ask you to join an in-person listening session where you will be asked about your thoughts, ideas, and what you can share to improve mental health for youth. There is a chance that conversations about your experiences may make you feel uncomfortable, afraid, or lonely. We want to support these feelings and want you to know that you can stop at any time if you want. You are not required to answer any questions.

- Westchester Youth Alliance Program Director Chloe Fernandez will join in a separate session for adults, that will be at the same time at the youth listening session.

- Your name and image (photos or videos) may be shared in materials about this listening session, such as flyers or digital media.
